Flea, how about googling Louise Brooks? Is that the non-product version you want?
Dear IT people,
When I ask if there is a working computer in the room we will be using for online training, please at least check before saying yes.
Also, a docking apparatus without a computer docked in it doesn't count.
Thanks,
Me.
In hair news, can anyone help me find pictures of a proper eton crop or shingle?
Whoa, that's pretty short, flea. It's hard to find a picture without a ton of goop, because that was a very slicked down style. Most of the pictures I have of women wearing that style are from my Weimar books Voluptuous Panic and Hot Girls of Weimar Berlin. I wish I could just loan you my books!
You might google on photos by Brassai and try to find a hit in 20s Paris. Josephine Baker. Weimar. Anthony Andrews in Brideshead Revisted. There's a very detailed description of a woman getting an Eton Crop in Hemingway's Garden of Eden.

ita, you're going to be in Kenya on the 17th, aren't you?
flea, try also the silent actress galleries.

I'm coming back on the 17th, in fact.
Flea, here are a few pictures of shingles and crops. You gotta scroll down.
Hm. I used to wear my hair like the crop in your last link in high school - all shaved up underneath. I think my hair is curlier now, but not as curly as, apparently, everyone but Louise Brooks' in the 1920s. Was it something in the water?
I just got my hair cut, but I'm thinking about changing for next time. I really hate hair at the back of my neck.
Was it something in the water?
Nah, it was something in sleeping with your hair in pincurls and etc.
