What is even happening?

And there's only 14 days to get a price adjustment, if by chance he gets marked down.

And even then, it's only an in-store credit.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Hi! Anybody miss me? I missed you guys.

We finally got the TiVo hooked up, but it was at the expense of having a VCR and a dvd player hooked up as well. I really miss the dvd player. HOWEVER, TiVo has made it possible for me to watch Dancing with the Stars every single day, and I am so obsessed. I was really impressed with Kelly Monaco last night, and while Rachel Hunter herself is growing on me, I was really not seeing what it was about her dancing that was giving the judges raptures. Although I have a friend who worked on the show, and he said that apparently she looks much better in person. Last night was the first time I actually liked her dance, and so of course she was cut. I think I'm really ready for Joey to go. I think I'd be happy with either John or Kelly actually winning the thing. She's improved an enormous amount, and she, along with Evander, were the only ones with no actual dance experience. Also, she was incredibly professional about her strap breaking. She's really impressed me. In other dance news, PBS's Great Performances just aired a new production of Swan Lake starring Gillian Murphy and Angel Corella, from ABT, and it is completely awesome and gorgeous. I recommend it, a lot.

Also, I am now a bartender, and I have a job on Saturday, at a private party. I gave the lady, who sounded very nice, the impression that I have some clue about what I'm doing. Luckily, I think it should work out. The one thing I'm nervous about is opening wine. I kind of suck at it, despite all my practice.

Did I miss anything big here?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Did I miss anything big here?

Nah, nothing much. Just amych got married, and Jon B did, too. And Nora and Tom closed on their house, and Sheryl and DH are buying one, too. And Stephanie had a baby.

Not much at all.

Seriously not much. I mean, all you guys do is get married and have babies. I mean seriously. It's just all sweetness and cuteness all the time. Houses are a little more rare, but if there is going to be decorating than I'm not impressed there, either. I mean, you see links for furniture and discussions on color pretty frequently. I'm disappointed. I guess I'm just glad there wasn't another grammar discussion.

t /completely kidding

Congratulations, amych! Congratulations, Jon B! Congratulations, Stephanie! Yay, Nora and Tom! Very exciting stuff.

1) you are perky in teh freaking RAIN! 2) you like me. I think we know the truth.

1) Because you were being grumpy (with good reason) and my contrarian is meaner than my perkhater and I wasn't THAT perky. I was rooting for things to sink! and b) you snark.

The perky I dislike is all giggly and airhead and precious moments and flapping hands and cooing and shit.
