Oh man, I'm laughing so hard.
My boss was just out at the convenience store and bought a lottery ticket with numbers that she picked. The clerk printed out two tickets with the same number.
M: What are you going to do with that one?
Clerk: I don't know - you want to buy it?
M: Why would I want two tickets with the same number?
C: Guess I'll just sell it to someone else. Or I'll buy it.
M: But those are my numbers!
C: Shrug
And on and on with a line of people behind...M was livid about the whole thing at first, though now she's laughing. The thing is, she thinks she did it on purpose. And I just keep thinking, what a perfect low-level store clerk mind-fuck for people who annoy them. Because the person either wastes another buck, or accepts that if this was their lucky day, they just lost half their winnings. You could drive people bug-fuck crazy doing that.
