The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

In BMW it's called steptronic.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I can't link to this directly (stupid Javascripted link), but go to msnbc and click on the link that says "Animal Tracks: Firefighter's purr-fect rescue" - it's a slideshow of lots of cute animal photos, including a firefighter holding a cat he rescued, and another cat receiving oxygen (with a kitty-head-sized oxygen mask) to treat it for smoke inhalation.

Oh, and the picture of the guy who had his cat's picture tatooed on his arm after the cat saved him from dying of a drug overdose....

What is even happening?

Yes it's just a coincidence. It isn't someone testing a new doomsday machine design. Yep, no chance of that.
Oh. You finished the rocket, then?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's called tiptronic in Acuras too.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We seem to be having an apocalypse over here. This is some of the loudest thunder I've ever heard. (My office has a fantastic view of the Chrysler Building, and it's eerie right now -- the top is almost completely obscured by giant black rainclouds. IT IS AWESOME.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We seem to be having an apocalypse over here

Hello!!! ::neck snap:: We totally started our apocalypse on Sunday so your coast is just going to have to wait.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We can't all apocalypse together? It'd be more efficient.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

No need to snap her neck over it, though.
