Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Please tell me why I have a burning need to read the transcripts of the entire Season 3 of Roswell instead of, well , packing up the mountains of crap I have collected in three years.

Any sane person would do almost anything rather than pack mountains of crap, even if the latter really needs to be done. It's similar to the concept of cleaning when you should be doing homework, only you are more sane, because watching Roswell actually sounds kind of fun.

This explanation is important to me. Now I can blame my messy apartment on having been out of school for years.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Slacktivist references BtVS to prove that Cordelia and Xander were smarter than Dubya. (Of course, we knew that.)

I'm also a little sick of the America as exporter of freedom schtick. I do believe that average Americans believe in the principles of freedom and that they should be available to all people. But the unequivocal statement that our government always acts in those interests, bestows that on other countries, or even has never actively worked against it makes me want to yank out all my history books and throw them at him.

I am quitting my job tomorrow! WHOOT!

New job = raise. Not as much as I had hoped for, but there is opportunity for commisions and stock options, so that is really more $. did I say Whoot? WHOOT!

Now I must decide which to buy: dress or iPod. and whether to buy one of those first or a laptop. and whether to get DSL right away or after a few paychecks. or whether to put some stuff in savings and not blow it all. or MAYBE I can do all of it if I try really hard.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Quitter!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

YAY MSBELLE!!

I am trying to decide if I should put the AC in my bedroom. I hate to give in so early in the year! But it's still 85 degrees outside, and it's apparently going to be in the 80s all week. HMMMM.

YES! I! AM!

Tomorrow I will give in a short letter of resignation and say, "I have taken a position with a company and I'd like for my last day to be 6/15." but my eyes will be saying, "EAT IT JACKHOLES! I CAN'T STAND THIS HELLISH UNAPPRECIATIVE BACKWARDS PLACE!!!"
