Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

My mom offered me an air conditioner yesterday, but I've got a window fan in my room that works just as well for me. She told my brother that he could take his when he moved to Boston and he was all "No, we'll be fine with a fan."

He has since realized what a small second floor apartment in the city can be like and has changed his mind.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My indoor temp is 79° right now. If I weren't going to be out of town for most of the summer I'd install a ceiling fan in the living room.

There is a kid across the street making me crazy. He is constantly yelling "Mom!" up at his window from in front of the building. I have to keep resisting the urge to go tell him to go upstairs to talk to her and that he needs the exercise anyway. I don't mind kids making noise while they play, but this is just obnoxious.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We may have just had an earthquake. I need to check whatever that site is.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh yeah, that was a quake.

Wow and how much do I love the linky feature when I don't want to format? A lot.

5.6

Kewl. It has been made apparent that in any quake with much more of an effect on West LA that I'm going to lose much of my alcohol. I need to think about that.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It looks like they might have downgraded that a bit-- I saw 2.4

hip deep in pie

ita, where do you order your Blue Mountain from? Or do you get it sent by the family?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm on the quake site, filling out their "Didja feel it? Didja???" questions and I get to:

How did you respond? (Select one.)

1. No Answer/Don't remember
2. Moved to doorway
3. Ducked and covered
4. Ran Outside
5. Other

They missed one.

6. Woke up the laptop, checked in the Buffistas, hit refresh on the (already bookmarked) USGS page until a big red square appeared and then went back to edit my post with the appropriate link.

So... Other?

Do they have a fill in box that goes with Other? That would be a great answer to give them.

Or do you get it sent by the family?

Family. I've been told it goes for $60/lb around here, so -- family.

Cass, I'm other too. Other as in "Who's banging at my ... what's with the rum ... FIRST POST!!!"
