And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Nice, Connie.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Not sure how many people have been watching Lucifer (I haven't, but I did read the comics), but I thought I'd rec this WIP that seems to catch the flavor of the show from what I can see. It starts off when the post office delivers some misdirected mail to Lucifer.

Satan Claus

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I haven't watched the show, but I can attest to the fun of reading that fic. I stumbled across it on Tumblr.

Thrive to spite them

So I went and read my stuff on Archive of our Own and wow, there are missing words and doubled words.

And also I kept thinking "I could do better now"

Is it weird that I want to rewrite most of them?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I'm sure people have done that. New editions of old stories.

With Star Trek Beyond out it seems like everyone is re/discovering older Star Trek fanfic; I got an e-mail from AO3 today with kudos on 9 different stories.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Sweet.

My new favorite typo: instead of a "self-deprecating" smile, which I assume is what they were going for, they used "self-depreciating" smile.

Like, you assume that your value decreases by 10% each year?

"self-depreciating" smile

Every time you smile, you lose one hit point.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Because I'd always only read it, I made that mistake when talking once. SO EMBARRASSING.
