Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

I may have to seize the cat.

Friends, I'm touchedglitter on AO3, so if you see me commenting on your stuff, know that it's me. (Plei, this is aimed mostly at you - I think I saw a comment from you on a story blithers wrote recently and got all "Hey that's Plei!")

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm trying to remember if I left any comments recently! I'm the worst slacker in the world about that, TBH.

Plei, I'm familiar with the canon, and I'd be happy to beta.

I'll warn you ALL ABOUT IT next week, for the record. And stuff. I feel I should be honest about expectations here.

Calli, it's Push, which is not easily streamable, and I feel like I should really be judging myself with extreme harshness for having become Dark Angel levels (for me) fannish about it, all things considered, and yet. As I said on DW, "THIS IS MY FANDOM WHERE ALL THE BAD IDEAS APPARENTLY THINK THEY ARE GOOD ONES." Which is one of my AHAHAHAHAHA things about having someone beta read it. I feel like I shouldn't inflict it upon other people, even though the novel-length story is probably the least problematic* of the things I've got going in the fandom, which is vaguely terrifying.

I mean, I'm mildly horrified at myself. I have spent a lot of time asking myself what the hell. I'm just not as horrified at myself as I honestly think I should be.

*Consent issues comparatively mild, minimal bad things involving mind control, no canonical character death, parenting fail level just at John Winchester, and I'm reasonably certain all explicitly depicted or implied sexual activity is legal in the locations where it takes place.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Plei, you know musesfool? I suspect she would beta for you.

HA!

Victoria is the reason I'm in this mess. It was her prompt that ate my brain.

I figured, but just in case.

Incidentally, Scrivener is on sale today. Do I need it? Do I even write enough any more to make it a justifiable purchase? And yet.

YES. YES YOU NEED IT.

It's cheap, it's awesome, and it's on sale. You will probably wind up writing more with it than you have in ages. It doesn't do the dishes, but hey, nothing's perfect.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Calli, it's Push, which is not easily streamable

Aw, bummer. Sorry, I'm not familiar with it.

I certainly would love it if more writing happens, so...we'll see what happens.
