And what about Carlton, Your Doorman?

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
Eeee!
Sorry. My little geek heart just 'sploded with glee.
I'm pretty sure she thought so a lot, Matt. Carlton had to be a demon.
I'm re-reading my story Nessuno. I'm pretty good at this writing thing. It's just nice to remind myself of this.
I find it weird that I get more voluble feedback from ff.net than I do from AO3. People actually write comments on ff.net, and AO3 will sometimes do Kudos.
Anyone with an AO3 account might want to check this out. Some ebook piracy jackass has scraped a ton of fic from AO3 and is trying to sell it on their site. Here, for instance, is the page with my stuff on it that they're trying to sell: [link]
To find your stuff and try to get it down, follow the directions here: [link]
OY. This is ridonkulous.
A few fic writers have explored that situation and discovered that the site that offers the fic for free download actually deflects to other sites that ask for credit card info. Apparently it's not posting fic without asking that's the point so much as it's a phishing scheme for cc numbers.
Consuela, they have nothing listed under your name just now when I clicked the link. I hope that means they've taken it down. I don't know whether to feel relieved or insulted that they seem to have none of mine up.
Yeah, mine are gone off the Ebooks tree site, but the worry is that it's been gleaned for the phishing sites. Which I can't get to to check, without giving them my cc#, and uh, no way, no how. So I've decided to lalala and choose to believe the best.
AO3, btw, had figured out a bot block by last night, which has now been defeated by the phishing sites' bots. This is why we can't have nice things.
That PDF with my author ID is no longer coming up when I search by that ID. For what it's worth.
