Which leads me in to the current surge of interest in Steve/Bucky & Steve/Bucky/Natasha fics (which makes me very happy), and someone on LJ's suggestion that
The world needs some kind of epic reincarnation fic, where Steve is Achilles, many lifetimes better and wiser, and Bucky is his Patroclus, whom he loses over and over, until the one lifetime where he gets him back.
Someone write this NAO. PLZ.

The vid is mentioned in Gavia's Daily Dot article on modern fans' interpretation of Cap. It was with a vague sense of embarrassment that I realized I know each of the fanfics referenced. And the essay. But, this re-interpretation of Cap is why I like Cap now.

Also, they totally should have mentioned that story where Steve supports union workers on strike, somewhat to SHIELD's horror.
