I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

TW has Martouf. Or, you know, J.R. Bourne, who played Martouf on SG:1. Also Col. Tighe, but I don't think you're aiming that old. As with most shows, the over-teen characters are kinda thin on the ground.

I dunno, it actually feels like it's got more over-teen characters with development and depth than most teen shows. Coach is awesome, for example.

Bourne's pretty cute. And I'll keep and eye out for Coach when I inevitably break down and check out fandom's new shiny.

I always read "Thorki" as "Thorgi": [link]

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I always think of Vonnie when I think of portmanteaux!

That's because I've been ranting about them for 10 years, which is basically how long I have been a Buffista! Not that anybody listens or anything. /bitter

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

On the Derek slash front, I could actually see them doing something with Derek/Jackson since he was forever surprising the latter in locker rooms and showers back in season 1. Though realistically I'm surprised Jackson could break away from his ongoing love affair with his own reflection long enough to date Lydia.

Consuela, really enjoyed it.

Awww, Vonnie, I totally listen. However I hardly ever write ship-fic, so it's not much of an issue for me.

Consuela, really enjoyed it.

Thanks, Gar! I got a nice comment from someone about the way women are usually erased from history, and had to stop myself from responding that that wasn't what I intended... (Really, I just wanted to figure out why Aslan would send the two kids at all, given that he could have just sent Puddleglum and the end result would have been exactly the same.)

brillig

I hardly ever write ship-fic

It was the epic tale of the love between an elegant ocean liner and the scrappy tug that lived for every return of the liner to her home harbor--until that cold night, when they said there were ice bergs in the shipping lanes . . .

Sometimes it feels like sickness. The whole plot just popped into my head.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why portmanteaux when you can Stark spangled Banner (I hate the pairing, but the name is golden)?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

HA. Almost as good as Pepperony.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Stark spangled Banner

I want to see this. Anyone got recs? I tested the waters of AO3 and found too much Darcy/anyone to even deal with. Yes, I am lazy.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

too much Darcy/anyone to even deal with

I re-watched Thor recently, and was driven to wonder just where the hell the Darcy I see in fic came from.

In terms of pairings falling into the too much to deal with category for me, I find myself scrolling past what feels like scads of Tony/Loki. Uh, no thanks.
