Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just came across a fic that warned for het. Which always makes me roll my eyes, especially when the het pairs are listed in the pairings section (and pretty much canon, unlike the slash pairing).

But what I really wondered about was how the author listed the pairings. The men were separated with a slash (A/B) and the het pairs with a plus (A+C). Is there a fandom in which that's done conventionally?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I've been reading a lot of Narnia fic on FFN, where the characters are often listed as "Edmund Pevensie/Peter Pevensie", even when it's gen. I've seen the slash used that way occasionally before, but I've never seen anyone use the + as a romance indicator.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

huh. I'm under the impression that / always means sexuality.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Nothing is ever "always" in fandom (even when it should be). It's just too big.

Jezebel reposts RPF, the crowd goes wild.

Interestingly enough, there are more "I read that/I do that" commenters than you get on IO9, where posters are mostly clueless or outright disdainful.

Still, a lot of "Freaks!" and the requisite "RP sex is squick! You people are sick!"

And of course someone mentions the Care Bears BDSM story. (I recognize the name of the commenter.)

Hey, ita, want a link to an Inception story? Arthur/Eames.

Edit: Whoops, never mind. If you read the stuff that smonster linked to in Natter, you're covered.

Is that Care Bears story worth reading? Or should I file it with My Immortal and decide that just knowing the bare bones about its existence is enough?

I'm psyched to read smonster's links when I get home. I haven't wanted movie fic like this since The Losers.

I don't really see why you'd need to read the story if you don't want to. I never read it.

I just wondered if it was any good.

Stranger things have happened.

Great, now I've talked myself into clicking on the link when I get home. How does that even happen?

Still not reading My Immortal.

I ... I just found Beetlejuice fanfic.

I'm not clicking those links. I'm scared. Hold me?
