Actually, I was mostly coming here just because I wanted to boggle at someone, and I thought you might not mind if I boggled at you good people:
I have been writing nonstop for the past 3 weeks, having had a story do that RANDOMTACKLE!EATBRAIN! thing. (It's a Merlin story, a student AU set at St Andrews, which is where Prince William & my good self earned our degrees.) Anyway, I have FINALLY got my protagonists to their first actual honest-to-god snog.
After 90,000 words.

(I'm thinking I might be able to wrap it up in 120k, possibly, but I'm no longer making any bets about length. Initially I had guessed at 30k. hahahaha.)

Aw, thank you, Fay. I am having such a great time doing it! And I've met so many lovely people (online so far, but I have hopes for actual meatspace meet-ups at some point in time.)
