Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

brillig

I am such a feedback whore. I just posted a 5,000 word story and I'm hating the world for apparently having better things to do in the middle of the day than reading my fic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Does anyone have good Leverage fic recs? Funny stuff, and if it's got ships, I'm Parker/Hardison and OT3-leaning, perhaps unsurprisingly.

I have discovered I can't do Parker/Eliot if they're in love. My heart hurts for Hardison. Maybe more reading will inure me of that.

And, in an unrelated fandom, Sam/Gabriel is starting to piss me off.

Not sure what puts me off about White Collar other than demonising El in order to get Neal and Peter together.

And I'd love a ton of good Cougar/Jensen to just appear. Even Clay/Cougar/Jensen.

ewww.

I don't think I have any of that, do I?

Oh hell no. Even if you're not going OT3, you have to handle El carefully.

I have not yet delved into S/G. I'm a little skeered.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I ran across some S/G that worked really well for me, so I went hunting for more. Turns out that just about all the S/G I've found not by the first author makes me roll my eye by the third paragraph. Gabriel killed Sam's brother many many many times. Sam's not just gonna be all, "Eh, tricksters. What can you do?" and get his archangelic freak on. Nor am I buying Gabriel shmoop. So, back to Library of Sol for me. Good thing she's so productive.

I didn't see any, no.

I bumped into one elsewhere and it had me screaming for Hardison. It was just wrong. PWP I could handle, I think. Twoo Wuv? Yuck.

I have read S/G that amused me, but for some reason too much of the D/C I've come across recently has decided to give Sam his own widdle angel, and it's kinda dismissive more than anything else. I actually take D/C pretty emotionally seriously, and like you say, Calli, there are ooh, a couple issues there with Gabe's history with Sam. It's hard to put them both on the same level.

I've read some Library of Sol. I will go back and look.

Oh good. I'd hate to bump into it accidentally.

I've decided I'm on a mission to get through my massive to read set this summer. I don't know if I can, especially after the new tv gets set up, but I knocked out 5 or so yesterday.

Speaking of Library of Sol, I just checked my bookmarks, and she wrote some Sam/Chuck that was pretty...interesting. I never would have gone there.
