Pardon me for jumping in, I sometimes like to visit in threads I never go to. But I actually have something relevant to contribute about Sentinel fanfic because that's the crack that drew my sister into slasherdom.
She says that at slash conventions like Bascon, there are still some faithful Sentinel people out there. People think it's a fad that's had its heyday.
Plus, my sister wrote a helluva lot of Sentinel slashfic and published zines and everything. I drew so many cartoons for her that she had a whole game of Sentinel-opoly and I have a very small zine of my very own Sentinel cartoons. I think we sold five entire volumes over the years.
Disclaimer: we thought the teeny-weeny weeping Baby Blair with the small, delicate hands was so hilarious that there's quite a bit of humor pointed at that idea. So some people, they were offended.

Actually, Katerina, depending when your sister was writing, I probably read her stuff.
I read a lot of Sentinel fic, too. It wasn't my first slash fandom, but it was close.
I dunno offhand where she's posting all her slash, but I can check it out and we'll find out for sure whether we've got an Accidental Synchronicity going.
Recognize the name JenCat? That'll be her.
She doesn't make magnets, does she?
Yes she does! She has a dealer table packed with stuff that some have unkindly described as a garbage scow because it has a little bit of everything and then some.
She says there are diehard Sentinel lovers out there still writing stories about the guys.
Here's a link to one of her "FTS" stories, which should be accessed with caution if one is offended by poking fun at the Baby Blair trope.
What fun. I KNEW the Buffistaverse would intersect Jenny's slash fiction universe somewherese along the way.
Huhn. Weird things happen when I try to format that, so fuggedaboudit. Here 'tis:

I never caught the Sentinel when it was originally on, I've only stumbled across it as a permutation of crossovers with NCIS. There seems to be quite a few of those out there where Gibbs ends up being a sentinel and Tony his guide and of course they need Jim and Blair to train them. It's actually made me a little curious towards the program, I may have to see if I can find DVDs of it.
Yeah, Katerina, I totally know her, though she may not know me. In fact, shrift and I will be at a convention with her at the end of February.
OMG. I'm actually jealous of her trip to LA now.
Just mention the Buffista connection and she'll totally understand.
Sail, if you want Sentinel stuff on DVD we can totally hook you up cause she has collections called "Sentinel & Stuff, Volumes 1 through I dunno"
I figure I'll just Netflix 'em, Katie. Otherwise, they'd probably sit in a pile somewhere and gather enough dust to cause mites to evolve into Presbyterians. With Netflix, there's some internal prompt to finally get the damn DVD back to the company so I can get another.
