That is truly appalling. Why would anyone even go there? How can anyone think that and say "ooh! hot!" Is the wrongness part of the hot? That itself is wrongness!
All these questions are rhetorical.
I'm thinking about writing fanfic again, thanks mostly to Leverage and the Nate/Elliot bit that popped into my head this morning. So I thought I'd come in here and hang out. Hi.
Does anyone else have a LJ or some such where they keep their fanfic, separate from their regular blather?
I put my fanfic on my LJ, plus I post to the appropriate archive sites and LJs.
I recently started an lj just for fanfic...there are only a few stories in there, but...
All my fic is on my LJ, probably because I haven't written that much yet. If I ever become more prolific, I may look at archiving it somewhere else.
I posted my fic under a different LJ, but actually my real name. I got a little confused with trying to separate personas.
My LJ started as strictly fannish. Then I stopped using the personal one, nuked it, and the fannish one became primary.
What little fic I've written that I'm willing to share is on my LJ. I have what is essentially commentfic on someone else's LJ.
If I wind up writing more stuff with a very narrow focus, I would consider another LJ.
Since most of my fanfic is slash, I don't want to put it on my personal LJ. Some people there, including my niece, do not need to know that about me. I shall have an other one.
I never divulged my LJ name to the family; none of them are on LJ, so it never came up. I can post slashy-slash all I want and never have to worry!
You could always post your fic on Dreamwidth. One benefit there is that the posts aren't limited to 10,000 characters like LJ. I've got some invite codes left, if you want one.
Or there's the Archive of Our Own. Which is actually not an or, but an and, because there's no reason you can't post to both places.
