Ok, might I suggest "It's Deep and it's Layable" I just totally corrupted an Olbermann-ism...should make a decent SN title.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
That someone is thinking of giving up Entourage cause her desire for a happy ending(I assume between Vince and E) keeps getting thwarted. So, her friend, whom I don't think I know, recommends Buffy and Angel.
Heh. Yeah, that is kinda funny. Although, as we're in the fanfic thread, I could see ways of post-finale fic bringing those crazy kids together. Of course, I also read SGA crackfic regularly, so my suspension of disbelief can outlift a crane.
Yeah, it's not that it couldn't...even non-slashy me can see they are the love of each other's lives.
The funny bit is feeling like Doug Ellin took your toys away so then you go and play with Joss Whedon and Tim Minear. I think some people are born to be disappointed, or something. Because Ellin, dialogue-master and movie shout-out king that he is, protects his guys more than any professional writer I've ever seen...it's probably his biggest weakness(said the annoying little upstart)but I think he can't stand to see them hurt(or he thinks *we* can't, I haven't been sure about that) Now, I love them too...I kind of get it, to be honest, but maybe his show would get more respect if he would *injure* his darlings, if he couldn't bring himself to kill them...if you can't handle *his* twists and turns, maybe you're not ready for chapter books yet. You know?
ETA: I hope it's clear that I'm not flaming Ellin...I admire his light touch and any writer who lists "Diner" and "The In-Laws" as influences is, like, aces with me.Or "money" since he loved "Swingers", too. But he totally missed the lecture on "Conflict" at Tulane.(yes, I collect that shit like baseball stats...what?)
I'm (finally) watching my vividcon dvds, AIFG!
The masterlist of spn_summergen stories has been posted.
Oh good God. Okay, I know homophones trip up people now and then, but:
"Sam and Dean being knotty boys at Bobby's"
And no, it's not a fic where they get turned into trees or something.
::facepalm::

I will not go into great detail about why I know this - but "knotty" has a meaning among furries that has nothing to do with trees. Quite a lot with wood, but *wolves*, not *vegetation*.
Ahem.
The extent of my knowledge of furries comes from that episode of CSI, so I'll take your word for it.
But as for this use, it was the description for a drawing, and as it showed pretty much everything there was to see (honestly, I only clicked on it to see what "knotty" could possibly mean) I can assure you that I think this time it was a mistake.

heehee
Why oh why did I go to Urban Dictionary? When will I learn that if a Buffista is loathe to provide the definition of a word that's new to me I don't want to know it?
