Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Thank you!

And now I'm going to sleep for a week because all this fannish activity has left me extremely sleep-deprived.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I just read a Calvin and Hobbes story last night that was so perfect, it actually made me cry. (And not in the unbearably tragic way of the yuletide C&H story.)

Theories About Nuclear Winter by hollycomb

It's teenaged Calvin/Susie, and I didn't realize I needed a Calvin/Susie story until I've read it. It's lovely and achy and brilliant and I just want to hug the story to my chest. Actually, I might just reread it right now.

(The fic is divided into two posts, so make sure you hit the "continued" link at the bottom of the first page.)

Heh. Were you the one who recc'd that yuletide story, Perkins? I didn't mean to pick at the scabs! (Seriously, I was totally fine with that story, but I know a lot of folks on the board took it hard, and I just wanted people to know that this particular fic made me cry in the bittersweet-joyful way, instead of waaaahhh!-sad way.)

That was mostly a goofy "I'm sorry", though I really didn't mean to make people cry.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I have a couple of Dreamwidth invite codes, if anyone wants one.
