What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'd even say in general: popslash or no, somebody somewhere is bound to know where to find people.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Invite codes do a couple of awesome things: one, they keep the account creation down to a sustainable level; two, thanks to one, they reduce the number of spam journals amount of malicious sockpuppetry.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh yeah, I keep meaning to look into DW. If someone does have a code, I'd take one. It sounds like this is going to get off the ground more conclusively than the other journal migrations of years past, which I can't even remember the names of.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm exhausted from profile surfing and adding people at DW. So, if I get a $3 account I can convert my OID one, somehow? And my LJ name?

...FFII, the de facto DW thread?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Ngah. DWJ just makes me think Diana Wynne Jones.

I...don't trust LJ, since the whole strikethrough business, but on the other hand I love how pretty my LJ is, and I love all my gazillion icons, and it's a permanent account. So I can't see myself packing up and moving away, but if there is a fandom-wide move then I don't want to lose people either.

Grr.

On a vaguely related note - anyone got any idea how long we might be looking at, until the OTW Archive is out of Beta? Are we talking months, or years, do you suppose?

I think I'm in fic author love. Someone who used tintinnabulation in a story. Polysyllabic orgasm, here.

Depends on what you mean by "out of Beta". Open Beta (in which anyone can create an account) should happen this year. As for when they'll finally take the beta label off, I don't know. Gmail's still in beta, and it's been around for five years.

Not being technically savvy, I just meant when I can open an account. It would be nice to be able to put all my fanfic into the same archive, and it is the prettiest archive I ever saw.

Oh my God - has everyone who might be interested already read Dodger Winslow's stories? About John, pre-show, raising his boys? Because, Jesus, THEY ARE SO GOOD. I am utterly slain, and flaily, and filled with admiration. Also, the last one made me cry. Guh.

Four times the Winchesters had to move (and once they didn't)

Honestly. This killed me.

I've always liked this one [link] wherein John goes to parent-teacher conferences.
