I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yuletide rec:

I know not many people are watching Sons Of Anarchy, but this is one of the more awesome stories evar: [link] (And it's very good even if you're not watching the show - no backstory needed, really.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That really is Gemma. She got her dead to rights.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

That Bull Durham one is outstanding.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It may be just my literal years of seeking it out speaking, but that IT Crowd one has, since I first read it, rocketed to the top of my all-time Yuletide chart.

I need to organize my recs. I set up the iPhone with a bookmark to the random 2008 story link, and have been mailing myself the to-rec links all day.

Also, my written story has exceeded my expectations (OMGWTFHOWMANYCOMMENTS?) and I've determined that, again, I managed to lose at least two conjunctions and possibly a preposition when I was rewriting a section at the last second. Oops?

(I did actually finish in time for a Real Actual Beta, but none of the usual suspects were around, and I didn't want to ping a Hippo in IRC. So, umm, I used my good buddy F7.)

Ha! I'm more or less a slug this holiday, so I hit random, hit random, hit random, look at what looks promising, hit something godawful halfway through the tab, decide it's a keeper, open a new tab and hit random... Stephen keeps asking me how many tabs I have *now*.

I have... a lot of tabs open now. I may also have Random set up as a button on my toolbar at home. I've done a couple del.icio.us recs, but not as many yet as last year.

I've completely failed the fandom del.icio.us train -- I can't live a day without del.icio.us, but I use it constantly for work, and I'm too scattered to keep multiple accounts on anything; and so since I don't ever use it for my own bookmarks, I always kind of forget to look there for recs. Le sigh.

I only use it for fandom. But I also have a faves account. For, umm. Stuff I don't want EVERYONE to know I'm reading. *cough*

(Which is to say, appallingly bad, chock full o' UK or Australianisms, OOC, heternormative Dark Angel crap. I mean, okay, everyone knows I'm reading it. I just... don't want to tell people WHICH specific stories I am madly in love with for their strange window into an entirely foreign mindset.)

(Really, this is healthier than that period of time where I would go to WalMarts in the middle of the night in search of America.)
