I wish it would not send fandom into a raging wankstorm to request that people not quote or post explicit incest outside of a cut-tag.
I bet the post that set off your wish is the same post that set off my wish.
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Probably! But it's only the most recent post in a series of posts by many different people.
I guess I should just own my mean girl prudishness!
At some point it's tempting just to go the Vee route and start defriending people.
(OMG, I do not want to read about your RPF bandom incest fantasies ANY MORE.)
A lack of a cut tag on a mixed f-list is nobody's friend.
Sometimes I feel like fandom's Ted Kaczynski for my "your beautiful cake makes me shudder" hard line stance. Then I console myself with the fact that, if Ted Kaczynski had kept to his wittle cabin in Montana, instead of constantly exposing himself to the modern world that beautiful cake, he would not have been sending bombs through the mail and he would be in that cabin even now.
I like my cabin! It is a wunnerful cabin! I even have electricity and do not eat only freeze-dried and canned food.
Sometimes I think I'm missing something by ruthlessly pruning the wanky. And then -- oh, fandom.

Oh, dear. I thought it was accepted netiquette to place ALL explicit sex under cut-tags, incest or not. But then, I'm like the biggest prude ever. I also frown on naked ass/pubes shots on LJ icons because OMG, some of us read LJ at work, people!
The other day, a otherwise perfectly pleasant person on my Flist was going on about how Peter and Susan and Prince Caspian from the new Narnia movie are Totally Doing It Three-Way, which... *facepalm*
Vonnie, I am totally down with keeping anything explicit behind a cut-tag!
And I wouldn't care if people used explicit icons if I could just adblock them at work, but I am stuck with an old version of IE thanks to Corporate.

Could you send the offender a gentle email reminder of "Ack! [Person who may or may not be the sweetheart of the old school I'm thinking of] I love you, but I'm reading at work, and MY EYES, MY EYES!"?
I would, Plei, but more than one person is doing it, and eventually I'd feel awkward carpet-bombing fandom with Miss Manners memos.
