So, I was just coming here to ask where to find
good
non-BUffy fanfic since I've mostly only read BtVS fanfic, and I see this:
Laga, a good place to start for just about any fandom is Polyamorous Recs, run by our very own Shrift and Dana. They recommend hundreds of stories in dozens of fandoms, sorted by fandom & genre.
So cool that my question was answered before I could ever ask it.
eta: Although my own particular craving at the moment is
Jericho
which is not listed there. Anyone know any good fic?
You know, I don't know that I've seen *any* Jericho fic, not that I've been looking. Suela might know.
That's interesting. . . it's like the whole cast and crew being at the LA comic book and science fiction convention and hardly any fans showing up.
There should be lots of Heather based fic - I think she has the BBOC-factor.
I have no recs but a quick google turned up this site. Fanfiction.net has a Jericho section. And there is an lj community.
Here's a good SGA team fic that looks at things from another perspective and will really make you uneasy: Second Verse (Same as the First) by friendshipper.
There is probably some Jericho fic. I haven't gone looking for any, since I'm not fannish about the show in that way. I'm not really attached to any of the characters except I think Hawkins is AWESOME.
I know Yahtzee watches the show, but I don't think she's written anything either.
A grad student at Georgetown is doing a survey on fanfiction for her thesis, if you want to help out:

I suggest you pull up your delicious page--she wants story names and links as part of the survey.
I don't read the Buffy thread anymore; has anyone shared the link to this vid?

Mely helped create it, although Gianduja Kiss did the actual editing, and it's a brilliant deconstruction of Spike and the nearly systematic way the show(s) privileged his story over that of the Slayers he killed (and the others who died along the way). To put it in Mely's words: It's Nikki Wood's fucking coat.
Even if you don't agree with the argument, it's a pretty damned brilliant vid.
