I get hooked on a story and then the silly author won't quit her job and ignore her family to keep the chapters coming at a pace quick enough for me.

There was one that was rather fabulous, iirc, involving the smaller of the Creevely boys. And it wasn't at all the scary tentacleporn monstrosity that I'd imagined it must be.
otoh, I remember almost spitting coffee on my monitor at somebody's Hogwarts/Squid fic, over on Silverlake or Glass Onion or one of these places. Inspired cracktasticness.
