Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Heh, I couldn't remember the exact title, so I figured too many words were better than too few.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I really need new meaty gen to read as part of my detox from the badfic binge I have been on this month. I wake up with a pounding head and little respect for myself in the mornings.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

No, Emily, you're right, I have just always confused the two titles since...always.

(Secret message to Plei, since she's here: How old do you think Original Cindy is?)

Maybe a few years older than Max? I am trying to remember if it was mentioned ever.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Tissue of Silver

The very reason I shall get nothing at work done today.

Not that I recall, and I was trying to pay attention this time around. Valerie Rae Miller (alias: smoking hotass) is a 1974 baby, but I'm sure they weren't trying to put OC as that much older than Max's 18/19.

Actually, in 2001, that would have made her 26/27, so not that far off.

I think I mentally pegged her at 23, especially because of the way things played out with her ex-girlfriend, who indicated OC was younger than 26, I think. But I figured if anyone would know it would be you, so I'm just going to mentally make her 23 and leave it at that.

We should check the transcripts of that ep! Which would be bookmarked at home. Err. Yeah.

23/24 works totally.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

(alias: smoking hotass)

Sprained my neck, nodding.

Aw man, I missed the car!preg discussion? Rats. And also, HONK!

There've only been a couple of writers of femslash that made me believe it, which is so unfortunate. Um, the scarcity is unfortunate, not the believing. I find myself bored, for the most part, by het. Amazing writers, many of them here, make it better, as they make m/m not only palatable, believeable, and in many cases, inevitable. I'll pretty much buy anything if it's written well enough. Aside from carPreg, though, I tend to veer away from inanimate object/human interaction.

As with anything else, the writer makes the wingfic...

And I'm still bemused by the fact that I can't seem to bring myself to read *any* HP, at.all. That 'verse is cast in canon for me. Firefly must hew pretty close to canon, too. At the other end of that scale, I've read stuff in SPN that I *never* thought I'd read. And I *liked* it. Well, a lot of it.
