This isn't a come-on. I'm in a very serious relationship with a landscape architect.

I know this is from a ways back, but why is Snarry so prone to mpreg? Is there something about the combination that makes people go, ooh, they'd be good pregnant?

Also, I quite enjoyed Trade, except I'm such a Harry/Draco shipper... Their love is so cliched and antagonistic!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

of all the fandoms to be in, HP is an hella impressive place to manage to stay vanilla.

There have been some attempts as de-vanilla-ing me. I've found quite a few sites that just let any ole pairing it. Harry/quill. Ron/Vanishing Cabinet/Ravenclaw's diadem. Those people are nutty.

I *am* getting a bit slashier though. Draco/Harry is just awesome. If, like anything, it's ... ahem...done right.

The thing that cracks me up most is that Draco seems to always be the bottom! And still calls him Potter.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

...you know about squidfic, right?

You already read Fearless Diva's Tissue of Silver? I do love that to bits. (Not just because I helped beta it - she's awful good at hitting my buttons, is FD.)

And for that matter, a Certain Someone's Invisible to See, also a classic of the genre?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And Resonant's "Transformations."

Also, I am happy to hear you like some het, too. I tend to feel like a big weirdo sometimes. For me it is not so much about the het or slash, it is about the way the story and the couple are, and I am a sucker for the love stories.

Honey, do not be ashamed of liking the het. shrift and I both started out in La Femme Nikita, before our little minds even considered writing slash, and we wrote bucketloads of het. And we are both still prone to writing het. Or gen.

I started out reading het in X-Men. And I do remember it fondly. Also, I like men, so there's nothing wrong with het.

Thrive to spite them

I started out reading het Highlander stories, and then tried some slash but it did'nt really take. Then I was reading het BtVs (omigod, really horrible Willow Sue/Spike stories) and then slash X Men. But I'll read anything (well not incest). But pretty much anything else and try just about everything. I started off being very "well I don't think that's my thing" and then kept changing my mind.

I never really read slash X-Men. Partly because people would keep bringing in characters from the comics, and it had been so long since I'd read them that I wasn't really interested in them.
