Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

flip like a mammal

God, I love this phrase. Does it predate the ninja website? Or did he coin it? Jings, I need to read some of this delicious sounding fic. Grr.

And, yes, I have no pension and precious little savings, but I would pay a 3 figure sum to have somebody fabulous come round to my place* and TEACH me how to make the vids I have in my head. Damn it. I find now that I invariably start mentally composing vids to accompany what's on my iPod. Kirsty McCall's fabulous 'In THESE shoes?' is fabulously Cordy. Fabulously. OMG. Just to name one of a gazillion that I have mentally mapped out...

* you know, if my place weren't IN BANGKOK. Or if they had a teleporter.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Fay is me (and lord am I sexy). I do this in the car all. the. time. Try to pick out the visuals, song lyrics that can apply in new and interesting ways, songs that would be SO WRONG and yet fit...

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Congrats to Dana for the awesome bid on her, and I'm not displeased either, with a small but fierce little bidding war for me. Woo!

I can't believe $10K was raised. Do I have that figure right? Because that's just so awesome it's mind-blowing.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had an idea for an evilbadwrong Friday Night Lights vid yesterday while running: Matt Saracen/Tami Taylor, set to "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Supernatural postcard secrets. Like mini-ficlets on a card!

So addictive... I apologize in advance.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

You aren't going to stop until everyone is hooked, are you?

I *said* I was sorry.

A little.

Um, I'm sharing the love?

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I don't think anything will ever beat the DCU Post Secret that was just a plain index card with "I'M BATMAN" written on it.

But these are good too.

SGA Secrets were good too. And I loved (and made!) Popslash secrets.

There's a SPN/American Gods crossover, Dust in the Wind, that is just really cool.

And ignipes wrote a Commentary for Cartography in Empty Spaces, Part 1 that I am about to go read now.
