Whoah! I just went to the Smittywing LJ story I posted a link to a while back to give feedback, and discovered her journal has been deleted. Does anyone know what happened?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

No. I'm trying not to panic, because I haven't had a chance to finish that damn story, and so help me God, if it disappears...

Dana - don't say I'm not looking out for you. Here's a link to her website, with the whole story on one page: [link]

I hope this isn't due to something Bad happening in real life. The author really doesn't strike me as the "goodbye, cruel internets!" & flounce away type.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Hi – my name is Morgana, and I have a problem to confess: I have recently become addicted to SPN fanfic. Oh, it all started quite innocently. I came to this thread by way of a mention from another thread. It was just an intellectual inquiry. And then I followed a link. And there was intriguing new vocabulary. (This is my first exposure to fanfiction.) Rentboy. Crackfic. Mpreg. Flail. Drabble. I started hitting wiki just to figure out what it all meant. Then I started reading more and more stories. Just one more hit before bedtime. And one more. Following links and recs hither and yon. Clicking on authors’ names to get to their livejournal pages, in hopes of finding more links. Dammit, I don’t care what their kitten did that day – just give me more stories! And then the frustration of finding myself of the end of a story that hadn’t been marked as incomplete…. no closure! Sammy is in the body of a woman and has been kidnapped by town bullies, and the story hasn’t been finished! I can’t go to bed now! Thank God Holli posted the link to her story, ‘cause it smoothed me out enough to be able to turn off my PC.

I’m telling you, I need a 12 step program.

Dammit. I don't know that the show itself can grab me, as I've given it a chance and been unmoved in the past (even with Amy Acker guesting). I'd been holding out despite all the folks here and on my LJ reading lists who've gone ga-ga overit. But shallot just roped me into another fandom whose canon source I don't follow regularly.

See, it works best when mainlined, and then it hits S2, and the show actually gets *good* as a regular thing, instead of just showing promise. And then you go back and rewatch S1, and realize that, Holy Fucking Shit, Batman, They Actually Had a Plan! And you start THROWING Kool Aid at people, just HOPING they'll drink it!

And then Jilli pets you on the head and tells you she won't make fun of you if you don't make fun of her for My Chemical Romance.

Though that last one might be a me-only thing.
