Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

wonders who Bill Lee might be. Concludes that the answer is 'somebody not hot'.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Ther's a retired pitcher named Bill "Spaceman" Lee, but, his heyday was 1975, so I'm thinking it's not him. I mean, there are second careers after baseball, but interplanetary archaeology usually isn't on the list.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

...oh, but what a fabulous piece of fic it would be.

Asgard: "If you build it, they will come."

Former Baseball player, now Archeaologist Guy: "Okay." (goes off to reassemble Stargate)

...

...

FBpnAG: "Aaaargh!"

Asgard: "Hey, I told you."

FBpnAG: "You never said they would be bleeding snake monsters that possessed people! Snake monsters bent on intergalactic domination! And apostrophe abuse!"

Asgard: (looking shifty) "...oh, didn't I? Sorry. Right. Whoops, is that the time? Must pop back home to feed the giants. Later!"

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Bill Lee is The Other Guy. In Evolution he's The Other Guy Who Gets Captured By Stereotypical Central American Terrorists; in most of the rest of his episodes, he's The Other Scientist Who Isn't Sam Carter. He's kind of short and balding and roundish, in my head at least. (I have a lousy visual memory.)

Thrive to spite them

What brand of dvd player is the one vidders prefer? My birthday is coming up and I want to make that a gift idea.

For the SGA readers: Your Cowboy Days Are Over, by M.

John Sheppard, post-Allies, in a place you'd never expect him. What do you give away and what do you keep, in order to protect your family?

Read it.

Bring tissues.

(And yes, I'm feeling a little ashamed that I didn't think the fandom would react as well as it has; this story is not anything like the stories that most people in the fandom seem to love. It's good to know that if it's good, it gets recognized.)

I'm not sure if it's what vidders in particular like, but one that's quite popular and very affordable is by Norcent. It plays a million file formats in addition to DVDs, so you could pop a data disc full of AVIs in without actually having to convert to DVD format. Try searching on Amazon for Norcent.

That's the one I'm looking for. I saw one on Amazon that played a bunch of different formats but not AVIs.

Also do you know if Vividcon is going to do the same thing they did last year for their dvd set?

I haven't heard anything about Vividcon DVDs yet, and I don't actually own a Norcent, so I am little help.
