We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Pru will do that.

Auburn and Eretria just started posting what promises to be an incredible story--it's an AU that spins off from "Trinity". But it looks OMG very dark. Links are up on SGA_newsletter.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm not an SGA fan, I think I can count the episodes I've watched on one hand and I've never seen SG: Atlantis, but that has got to be one of the most incredibly written fics I've ever read.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Oh, "Cartography by Touch" is beautiful. It was part of her 14 days of valentine's stories, which was amazing for the sheer number of words of good fic she produced in under a month. That is unspeakably beautiful too.

Oh, I meant to say, I read that last night. Gorgeous. I was too tired to give coherent feedback when I finished. Gee, guess I'll just have to re-read it so I can do that. Oh, the trials...

I was then pretty much stunned (happily) once I realized that there were fourteen stories written in fourteen days sitting there, with a lot of SGA. Totally bookmarked.

"Bell Curve" is probably my favorite SGA AU ever. Surpassed only by another fic of Pru's, "Hindsight." She's got these characters down.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I thought her Rodney in "Hindsight" was a little too caricaturish, but I could spend hours re-reading that take on John.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hindsight, is that the FBI one? I had trouble getting into that for some reason.

Yeah, it's the John that gets me--that's why I love it so much. There's just something about him. He's--chill? It's like, this was what John would have been if he hadn't been in the military, and I could buy this.

Maybe I'll give it another look and read with that focus.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I finally saw that Gunn vid set to the Kanye song, and I now need, very badly, to rewatch all of Angel.
