If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Is Spuffy cute or shorthand (or both)?

I'd call it cutesy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But Clitney has no clit!

And Burketina should be Burkina.

And not shorthand? It doesn't look to me like it's reaching (Bike is just dumb, and using double first syllables is illegible). It just ended up cute. But so is Buffy, really.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I will say, one thing "Spuffy" has going for it is the ease with which it is turned into other word-forms: who can forget our detailed discussion of "Aggro-spuffists"?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Sparrington

Hee. Hee hee. I have next to no sense of humor when it comes to portmanteaux, but I have to confess that this one makes me laugh.

I have no idea why Spike/Xander people have embraced "Spander" because that's just fugly. Plus, every time I hear "Snarry" (which seems to be a largely accepted term in the Snape/Harry part of the HP fandom), I want to bash someone's head in.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

"snarry" sounds like an unflattering adjective.

"Oh, my god, get away from me! You're all snarry!"

Yeah, point.

Thrive to spite them

I was going to mention Clitney ( the first time I saw it used was for Clark/Lex/Whitney thought). Also Spillow for Spike/Willow.

I think Sheppard/Weir got dubbed Sparky at some point.
