Pretty sure Sam Vimes is actually a he.
Once you've read "Transfigurations", you should go pick up julad's prequel, which is called "Night-blooming Heartsease."

Go for it, Fay-babe.
erika, I"ll be able to enjoy Adena 1950 with no H:LOTS knowledge? I do intend to netflix that at some point too, but it could be a long time from now.
Oh, *crap*, yuletide is due in two weeks.
t begins freaking
No. Not really. Two weeks? Crap.
Vonnie -- I could only find the very beginning of Twelve, do you know where the rest is? Or do I just need to reload?
That's weird. I can't figure out what's up with that archive. Probably something blindingly obvious.
You can read them in her LJ memories, which is the bookmark I've had for months. I will get around to reading it, someday.
Huh. Yeah, that Cylon Dreams link appear to be truncated.
Rheanna has the fic in 12 parts in her LJ. [link]
I'm not sure...I think so. All you need to know is that a black fifth grader got found dead and sexually molested in a yard in Baltimore and they weren't able to close the case. On the show, she was Adena, but she was a real person so they changed her name. As far as I know, it's still open. Our ficcer kind of took it to LA Confidential country so there are things in it that are fanon, anyway. I think you should follow well enough, but it is awfully dark and sad. The best tragic "Homicide" fic.
Tragedy is fine, even good, as long as the characters are developed enough within the fic that I can grok it. A lot of fic really relies on previous knowledge to be enjoyed, even the best stuff.
I'll put it on my palm and check it out at some point. Of course, between last night's recs in here and in Bitches, I now have something like 20 novels on there.
Oh, mos def! That's why I think it's so brilliant. It's what changed my mind about fanfic just being, well, to entertain the man in the boat, so to speak.
