I tell you I have this theory. It goes where, you're the one who's not my sister. Cuz mom adopted you from a shoe box full of baby howler monkeys, and never told you cuz it could hurt your delicate baby feelings.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I don't love the Spike/Angel one as much as I want to--I think maybe I know the context too well, and so I can't surrender to the vidder's interpretation. The Kirk/Spock is incredible, though. (Maybe if I knew that source as well as I know Angel, I'd have the same reaction--I dunno.)

Thrive to spite them

Now I want to watch vids as soon as I get home instead of work on packing.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

sisabet's "Closer" was one of the first vids that grabbed the hell out of me. Then I went to Escapade, saw my first vid show, and was doomed.

Sisabet's Clint Eastwood was one of the first vids I saw and I loved it. She doesn't have it up on her website anymore and I can't find my backup of all my vids from that period.

The very first vid I watched was a Hard core logo vid to Woke up this Morning (the song used for the Sopranos theme song).

I think so too. It's another vid that I don't think is available online anymore. Luckily I have my back up disc of those vids. I'm hoping as I pack I'll find some of these discs that I'm missing.

I've also seen vids to that song for Farscape and Buffy. The Farscape one was good, but I think the Buffy vid lacked something.

One of the things I love about vids is seeing different vidders (from the same or different fandoms) interpert the same vids. And I try to watch the different vids.

Except draw the line at 17 vids in the same fandom to the same song.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Closer is spike and angel, it's amazing really.

First vid I saw at the LA F2F. Hooked.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The ST:TOS vid to Closer is jawdropping.

Like I need a hole in my head

::pops head in:: my first, and still one of my favorite vids, is the Firefly one done to Hallelujah, the Rufus Wainwright version. Bonibaru? I think.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yep. Is Bonibaru.
