Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

I'm also assuming you've read Katie's stuff. And Salieri's "The Dirt of Sowing and Reaping". And Brighid's "Wheel".

If I only had a brain...

Does there exist good Cassandra/Methos, or is that relationship widely agreed to be waaaaaaay too fucked up?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, dear, Cassandra. Let's just say she's not the most popular character in the fandom. I've never seen good Cassandra/Methos, but admittedly, I never looked.

If I only had a brain...

Ah. Since I've never seen an ep, I'm working from online scripts, and I thought that follow-on from "Comes A Horseman" could be angsty big-time.

Oh, there's plenty of post-Comes a Horseman angst fic out there. But most of the stuff I've read's been Duncan/Methos.

Of course, most of the HL fic I've read in general's been Duncan/Methos, so I may not be representative of the HL fanbase.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is Cassandra Scoggins?

Yes.

so I may not be representative of the HL fanbase.

You're certainly representative of my fanbase.

I hate everything Scoggins has ever done, I swear.

Scoggins?

Sounds like what Duncan McLeod had for breakfast. With clotted cream.

Word, ita. Bab5's fifth season was painful enough: adding Scoggins to it just made me delete them faster.
