I have a share of a Hugo nomination.
And so does everyone else on AO3.
'Serenity'
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
walks to the blackboard to write "I will not be dragged into the never-ending Ao3 purity wankfest" over and over
Tags! Every fic author I know or have scrolled past the works of are pretty thorough about tagging things! If there's something a person doesn't want to read about, than don't click a story with that tag! Ao3 hosting fic that someone finds morally wrong or offensive isn't a crime, and the fic isn't going to cause others to go out and emulate the actions of the fic!
I was in the middle of writing a response that asked if the anon also felt that playing Dungeons and Dragons or listening to heavy metal music leads to Satanism, murder, and/or suicide, but decided I had better things to do with my life. But I had to vent about it somewhere.
Already got dragged in. I regret.

Yeah, if Anthony Comstock. could stay the heck away from my fanfic, that would be great.
Someone wrote a nice little crossover with Good Omens and BTVS. [link]
I cannot stop reading Good Omens fic (and reblogging all the Tumblr posts -- Calli, I'm pretty sure I've been reblogging a ton of your posts). I should just take my library books back without reading them (ironically, one is a Terry Pratchett book), because all I want to read is fic.
Same. There's a great combo of book fic from years ago and people writing for the show. It's a ficapalooza!
Also Fay is recording podfic
An astolat-style Temeraire fic would involve Lawrence and Napoleon stuck somewhere where they had to work together to survive, slowly becoming a couple, and involve Lawrence learning everything Napoleon did was justified because the French were so oppressed by the British.
Pretty sure an Astolat-style fic for that series would just be, well, the books. All things considered and given the givens and all.
