Coffee smells much better than it tastes, IMO. I love the smell, and even love the way it lingers on my hair and clothes after I've been in a coffee shop. But I can't drink the stuff--way too bitter for this semi-supertaster. Same with beer.
But I've yet to encounter anything that smells bad yet tastes good. Of course, that may be because I've always assumed my nose is meant to be an early warning system for my more sensitive mouth.
I can't stand the smell of Thai green curry, but I love to eat it. I find it impossible to cook with because the smell drives me out of the kitchen, but I'll happily order it in a restaurant.
I actually like the smell of bacon cooking.
Fish
Hmm. I've never liked the taste either, unless it's super-fresh salmon cooked just so, or ONCE some good fried catfish.
Maybe, but most of them like eating the crap too.
You don't like
bacon?

Bacon is almost better than barbecue or ham!

None of the above, thank you.
More bacon for me, though, and that's not all that bad a think.
