Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

Congrats Stephanie and family. (Now back to bar study?)

Suela, that link is too cute. You should put it in the Buffy/Angel thread.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

'Suela's link is way cool. The arm wringing was lovely.

Anyone else still up and around? I am very very awake. And not especially happy about it.

eta: Thinking not...

Timelies! Probably I was awake when you were, but alas, my cable connection has been on the blink for about 24 hours now, so I didn't finally give in and use the magic of dialup to get online until now.

I'm catching up -- love the Random Vin Diesel Fact Generator. (I wonder if there are any actual facts in it?) And adore the Monkey Ho economics story -- not the least because it turns out that Dubner & Leavitt (authors of Freakonomics, which I just recently read and was wowed by) are going to be doing a regular column for the NYTimes magazine!!! This is good news all around.

hip deep in pie

Welcome Elllie! You fared better in the name game than Penn Jillette's new Daughter, Moxie CrimeFighter Jillette. [link]

I do kind of like Moxie...

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

There ought to be a law...

Hee. I've heard worse. At least it made me laugh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

CRIMEFIGHTER???? I'd sue.
