I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

Are you ready to be strong?

I just love that he knows what a tennis bracelet is and asks for it by name.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What about stuff like this: [link] Rio. Maybe some of it would be small enough to fit him.

I think he and my [sometimes uncannily precocious] 6 y.o. niece could have could have hours and hours of fun together. And she has a kick-ass costume collection. Though, her jewels are still mostly on the gaudy side (he could maybe give her some pointers), though there are a couple of pretty spiffy tiraras in the mix.

Hmm. Do you think something like this would fit such a wee (and limp) wrist?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think it's darling that he wants a tennis bracelet.

Jon, congratulations.

What excellent news!

We should get them together, JenP! Every little gay boy needs a little girl to share fashion tips with.

Hard to say, Rio. Some of them might. I know my niece loved "adult" jewelry when she was that age, even if it was too big.

I wish there were a store we could just take him to and try stuff on.

I would know where to send you if you were in LA, Rio. Maybe there are places that sell costumes and stuff like that. Any place that sells tiaras should sell that stuff.

Maybe you could try something like Claire's Accessories (well, that's what it's called around here; about every mall has one) that has tons of hair, jewel, etc. accessories aimed at pre-teens. Might be some smallish but sort of adult looking stuff to be found.

And, yeah, L. would so appreciate a little gay boy to hang with.
