Jesus CHRIST.
I just scheduled a meeting with my departing team. The team lead didn't show up on time. I left a note on my door telling him the meeting had moved to the meeting room, drew an arrow pointing to the meeting room, and told my officemate to pass him along if he showed up. He never showed up.
I got back to a note on my keyboard asking me to call the lead.
Me to officemate: "Did you see team lead?"
Officemate: "A really prickly guy?"
Me: "Yeah."
Officemate: "I tried to guide him to your meeting, but he was very prickly and just said stiffly, 'I'll leave her a note.'"
Whee! I just bought tickets for this and this!
Now I need to get time off and plane tickets.
ita, I am dying of envy over here.

It's the whole Quebec bilingual thing.
There are some other shows I want to see, but those tickets I needed to buy ASAP. I'm so psyched.
Now the airline prices need to drop a little. $600? You've got to be on crack. It's supposed to be no more than 4.
ita never takes me anywhere.
I think everyone should come with!
Six Feet Under starts on Monday.
I'm waiting to catch up by DVD first.
But thanks for the VM heads-up Frank and -t-! That's the one show I regret not giving a shot this year.
A local children's bookstore here in Oak Park is having a big to-do for the Harry Potter release in July. Not the usual "just in the store" shindig, but encompassing a few square blocks in the middle of downtown, plus a few other locations. Love some of the planned events (scroll down a bit), including "Potions" cooking and "Herbology" classes taught at a nearby mansion, Human Chess played in the park, a dramatic reading of PoA at a corner theater a mile or so away, and the landbased version of the Quidditch World Cup tournament and Afternoon Divination Tea.
It's fun seeing people get so worked up about a book. It makes my heart happy, even if said book series has been merchandised to death.
