Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

ita, okay that makes sense. I guess I'm feeling like the last person on the planet to watch the finale that I forgot that Irina resurfaced 3 weeks ago.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Last person in the US, you slacker. Don't think it's not going in your file.

Unrelatedly and without segue, I'm evaluating all my lipsticks. One a day. This morning's first try was so yuck I threw it out right away. Not sure how I used to have that as my default for months. The second try for the day is so damned matte. Alla y'all with moist lips have my envy. Me, I was needing to supplement within two hours. And now that it's got some gloss in it, it's bleeding like a mo-fo. I suspect by the time I'm done, I'll have precious little lipstick I don't hate. But luckily, the Clinique Black Honey (Glosswear, not Almost Lipstick) is pretty damned good. Just need to winnow the herd.

ita, I know you hate Angelina, but did you read the article in EW about the movie?

to wit:

"And she' smuch more into weapons, as a human being, than Brad is. Any time my prop buy did show-and-tells of knives and guns, she'd be very very knowledgable. I'm looking a them wondering if they look cook, and she's asking 'Does this also come with a serrated blad? And which particular kind of hook, once you stick int into somebody, is good for ripping their flesh on the way out.'"

Give the girl some props.

I give her some props for being a psycho, sure. However, I'm really looking forward to this movie, and may re-evaluate her based on my response to it.

Sounds like I could have some fun conversations with Ms. Jolie.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Give the girl some props.

Preferably guns or knives, from the sound of it.

I'm stoked about the movie too. Inexplicably. Can't wait to see it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's by Doug Liman, which is a selling point for me. I thought Bourne Identity was fantastic and Bourne Supremacy was barely "eh."
