Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

hip deep in pie

I didn't even know that there was such a person as Nipsey Russell when I first heard that.

I almost asphyxiated with laughter when I found out that Nipsey Russell was a real person. And I was with people who didn't know the misheard lyric, and I kept trying to explain, but I was laughing too hard. I think they started watching my alcohol intake after that.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

"Whoa, Nipsy Russel" gave me a true COMM moment (well coffee on my keyboard).

Whoa, Nipsy Russel
Without wings, without wheels

Love the misheard lyrics. "All the boys think she's a spy, she's got thirty days of life."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And Nipsey Russell all by himself is COMEDY GOLD.

Dude, Nipsy Russell in The Wiz singing "Slide some oil to me" was a great moment in history in Casa kat. That was one funktastic movie. I need to see that again.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Nipsey Russell is eternally linked with "Match Game," Gene Rayburn, and Brett Somers in my head. Also, for some reason, Rodney Allen Rippy (possibly the similiarity of "Nipsey" and "Rippy", as well as the fact that they are both 1970s icons).

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Charles Nelson Reilly makes me think of Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares. And I always think of Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares answeing a question with "Balaaaaam's aaaasssss."

Match Game was such a dirty little game show. When I catch it every now and again on GSN, I cannot believe how it courted the smarm. Smart, funny smarm, but smarm nonetheless.

And funktastic 70's music. I'm just gonna keep saying funktastic all day because now it's stuck in my head. Funktastic, funktastic. This will make for an interesting meeting in about 15 minutes.

Kristin, backflung.

Now I'm saying funktastic too, kat. And I'm humming Maceo Parker. Thanks!
