Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Swouncing

The last couple of hours were like River in "Ariel" when they were running away from the blue-gloved meanies - "almost there, almost there, almost there" - TAing, with hard-working students who kept me for nearly an hour after the lesson for questions about the material - "almost there, almost there - " - - - "there".

I handed it in. I didn't proofread it at all. My brain finished its transformation into goo when I exploited my last bits of energy on the students. I just couldn't proofread anything. Couldn't read. The thought of reading anything right now seems like an effort, including my own post (reading? an effort? is it actually me, or was I really kidnapped by aliens? For my defence, I've been working on this for a few weeks, and straight with hardly any sleep since Sunday, but still, reading - an effort?).

I just had to post to y'all that it's handed in and done. Tomorrow I will probably not understand how it's possible to hand something in without proofreading it. But I won't do it then, even though - or because - I'm pretty sure I'll find at least a few ugly typos. But it's done now, anyway, so no point in - oh, insert cliche here, I don't think I remember any right now.

Going home to sleep. Will catch up tomorrow - Kristin, I'll definitely re-read what you had to say, it looks like something good.

Thanks for all the support, you guys. Day and Night and Day. Natter well without me!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Congrats on the job Kristin.

Hope-ma that Nilly finally got some sleep.

Jon Stewart was back on TV with a new episode of The Daily Show last night, so all is better in my little world....

Also, according to my TV guide, there's a new GOOD EATS at 10 pm tonight. New Jon and Alton. Woohoo! Now if only THE INSIDE started this week instead.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Congrats, Sue!

Now go sleep, Nilly! You have my sympathies. Reading your posts reminded me of the days (& nights) finishing up my thesis. I discovered that when I'm sleep deprived, I hallucinate cats. And it doesn't bother me in the least that they aren't real.

I have a/c. Heh. I know everyone wanted to know.

eta: & congrats to Kristin & Sue!

I was going to take humorous guesses, but was afraid it was something not to be made fun of.

Still no idea, though.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that they must have trimmed the heck out of the GG finale -- i was switching between it and House because I wanted to watch that last scene again and it finished before House!
