That's one spunky little girl you've raised. I'm gonna eat her.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have the Fat Albert theme song in my head. It must be wishful thinking.

Anyway, good Tuesday news if you're in New York: There are still sailors around! I thought Fleet Week was just last week.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is anyone's Tuesday not sucking royally?

Mine's sucking royally. We had two lateral associate candidates coming in for interviews today and my boss set up their schedules. The San Francisco schedule developed a gaping hole the minute I arrived this morning. The Palo Alto schedule totally blew up because my boss neglected to confirm with the headhunter, so I'm scrambling to put together an afternoon schedule in San Francisco for this candidate who is only in town today. It's too late for him to go to Palo Alto. Also? My boss is out this morning getting her hair done. [insert Marge Simpson growl of annoyance here]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It was DX who suggested the jack and the concrete blocks -- DX rules!

In Tuesday news, I just deleted 12 production databases, not the development ones I thought I was cleaning up. Luckily the production server is clustered, so it's not the royal screwup it could have been, but still. I think I'd better take lunch soon, before I destroy something else.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Stopping by to add that this Tuesday is sucking hardcore.

New pics of the bebe- she's getting ginormous!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Not sucking royally here, but not good by a long stretch either. The human race is inexpressibly irritating to me today, and I find myself the most irritating of the entire sorry lot.

I am truly sorry for Trudy's atomic shit of a day and everyone else's less spectacular but still impressive suckholes. Thank all the divinities of everyone's choice it's a short week.

Yes indeedy. Mine's supershort, too, since I'm taking Thursday and Friday off for my nephew's graduation.

Is having a graduation on a weekday a regular thing? I seem to recall mine were on a Saturday and a Sunday, and I thought weekend graduations were the norm.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Not sucking so much here. It's sunny and pretty and we're both dressed and have eaten. Big accomplishments. Besides sucky, hidden bank transaction fees, we're doing well.

Aimee, YIKES! We're cat pee-free for now. But only just.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I can't remember what day my graduation was, but I know a bunch of the high schools used the same theater, so some of them must have had weekday graduations.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Have skipped gazillions of posts. Back from our trip to the NYC and environs. Got to go to a gorgeous, intimate wedding in a cool private club (The Lotos Club--Mark Twain was a member!), dinners with several friends and with family, and lots of catch-up. It was a great trip, and after getting up at 4:30 am to catch the plane back, I am wiped. Not, however, too wiped to say Hello, Buffistas!
