My paper this morning had a picture of Donald Rumsfeld posing with Spider-Man and Captain America, which is wrong on sooooo many levels.
Sure, but be comforted by the fact that Bush quacked the end last night. He's down in the polls, his initiatives have no traction, and he went out on prime time and had nothing. Bush is over. I can imagine him calling up Karl:
"Hey, Karl I think I need something new. Heh heh. Got any ideas?"
"Tell you what George, I'll...uh call you back okay?"
I made breakfast for myself this morning. I haven;t done that on a weekday in yonks. scrambled eggs with onion, tomato, and cheddar cheese with 3 slices of turkey bacom - yums.
I also threw a salad together for lunch and made some guac. mmmmm
This has been a good morning. I got dry cleaning dropped off and meds refilled and took the garbage out.
Clearly it is time for a nap or a coffee break. work? whatsat?
I'm still kidna physced that I was post 10000 on the last natter thread and post 1 on the new thread. I'm the alpha and omega baby! I'm going to start a cult.
I am very disappointed that I can't seem to make the steel cut oats so well on my electric stove. I don't know if it's this range that's weird, but I've never had such culture shock adjusting from one to the other before. I'm having to cook stuff very differently to avoid burning and overflowing.
yeah, it's difficult. gas rawks. the last time I switched, I had to wean myself by having two burners on at once, and moving the pot back and forth.
Electric stoves are proof that the devil is alive and active and prince of this world.
I miss my gas stove so very much.
Cooking on gas is better, but I do sort of like my sealed top electric range for cleaning.
What is this cleaning of which you post?
ita, it might also be the pot you cook it in, we use a small Le Creuset pan for our steel cut oats and the cast iron regulates/distributes the heat a little better.
Mmm, steel cut oatmeal. Maybe I'll pick up some buttermilk and ask Tom to do some up this weekend.
I am one of those people who doesn't notice a big difference. We had electric growing up, I've had gas and electric on myown. I think my parents have gas now, but I'm not sure. The flat top Jenn-aire is what I learned to cook on.
