Do you see any goats around? No, because I sacrificed them.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

My American heritage story is kinda lame. Bunch of really white people, long time gone, never did well but never especially poorly either. The closest thing to genetic exoticism in my kin is a maternal great-grandparent from Nova Scotia. It would be embarrassing to claim any ethnicity other than "American" on a census form.

Rick Santorum acting like a preteen twit on the internet. This is not news.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Today I cut my lip on a defective spork.

My shrift's breath smells like sporkfood.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Today I cut my lip on a defective spork.

You have not had a good week. At all.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The closest thing to genetic exoticism in my kin is a maternal great-grandparent from Nova Scotia.

Heh. I've got one of those, too.

I'm a mix of German (Dad's side), Irish (Mom's side), with a little bit of Lithuanian mixed in with the Irish.

I think she's turning into Ralph Wiggum. We'd better alert the EMT's if she tries to pick her nose.

I can't even.

Canadians would identify themselves as American?

North American, they could.

Ask one and see what happens. It's like calling a Scot an Englishman. The reaction is kinda visceral.

My shrift's breath smells like sporkfood.

It is compulsory to consume one's Chinese take away on this day the twentieth of May by way of the utensil we call spork.

I have no chopstick fu.

brillig

Ask one and see what happens.

They object to be called North Americans? As opposed to just Americans? Because I see the argument with the second one.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most Canadians I know, while they wouldn't call themselves North American, do accept that they are. It would be odd not to, I'd think.

Just as well. Way things are going this week you'd probably poke your eye out.
