Captain was looking for a pilot. I found a husband. Seemed to work out.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The OC was definitely not funny, but I liked how they handled the emotional stuff.

I do wonder at Julie's denseness, to think that shacking up with her ex the day after her husband who was about to divorce her three days before their prenup expired won't look just a wee bit suspicious. But I guess if she was going to be a murder suspect, it would have come up this ep.

I watched CSI. And then ER because...well, I don't know why. And then the OC. Conclusions: avoid ant infested decks and guns. And Sandy's eyebrows are getting increasingly distracting. Oh and why shoot Trey? Why not just bash him over the head with something heavy? I know, plotwhatever, but lame.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

sarameg, you forget that Marissa is lame.

Well, that and she and her mom seem to have an unhealthy affinity for guns. Jules just plots better.

And that line from Alias in you tag made me laugh and laugh and laugh. She fell out of that character a few times while playing it, but when she was in it? Heeheehee.

Better? I don't think Marissa can plot, period.

eta: That scene in Alias, and the one with the comms on cracked me up. Great writing this week.

I was hoping for Marissa to bop Trey on the head with the gun, accidentally shooting herself in the process, but it didn't happen. Oh well.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe she'll get dragged off to prison?? One can hope, anyway.

I think Kelly Rowan (is that her name? I feel like that's the woman from Destiny's Child) is doing a great job, too.

Well, no. Which means someone can be better! Eternally positive, that's me.

The dialogue in Alias was good. The plotting/segues/whatever drove me batshit.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm not at the F2F either, Raquel. But I do get my own mini-F2F next weekend when Katie & Vonnie come to visit me!, so I'm okay with that. I'm not in the mood for big gatherings at the moment, anyway, although there are a number of Buffistas I would love to see.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This morning on the subway, I was surrounded by a group of middle-schoolers on a field trip, and three of them were trying to discuss Star Wars. The conversation went:

Girl 1: So, Anakin is Luke and Leia's father, right?
Girl 2: Right, so who's Hayden Christiansen? Who's the sexy guy -- not the guy with the beard?
Guy: [inaudible answer]
Girl 1: Wait, wasn't Anakin the kid in that scene with Jabba the Hut, when he was with that ho? [pause] Did they have hos back then?
