Dawn: I think a date should be in a real fancy restaurant, then champagne at a night club with a floor show, then ballroom dancing. Joyce: Unfortunately, we're not dating in a movie from the thirties.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Cindy, Children's Fairyland is a real place in Oakland, around Lake Merritt. It is (purportedly) the place that inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland.

They have a lot of Puppet shows there. One of the puppeteers there worked on the movie Lili (starring Leslie Caron) back in 1953.

I saw this headline at yahoo:

England Pleads Guilty to Abuse Charges

And had this momentary confusion about how you could charge an entire country with abuse. . .

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

And had this momentary confusion about how you could charge an entire country with abuse. . .

That empire business? So very, very sorry.

Coding and Sleeping

England is the U.S.'s parent country, and look how we turned out.

Yeah, it's not like we're trying to impose a colonial government on Iraq by military force. We're imposing a democracy on Iraq by military force. See we've learned from England's history.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

That's why they charged the people a dollar and a half just to see 'em.

I had three disastrous situations pre-lunch, and post-lunch, it took me five minutes to resolve all of them. Is this proof that my intelligence increases exponentially when you feed me, or just another example of why I shouldn't attempt problem-solving while suffering from low blood sugar?

I think it's proof that everyone else is stupid.

Not that I'm in a mood or anything.

Our wings are not tired

It is (purportedly) the place that inspired Walt Disney to create Disneyland.

The would be tough since on their website they say they opened in 1950 and Walt has plans for Disneyland on the plot of land where feature animation now sits that date back before 1950.
