lori, if we start making each other insane, I will suggest it. ESPECIALLY if my a/c is still broke. I'm just sort of aghast that after being openly teased by mom about my space & people issues, she's blind to them all of a sudden. Unless she has other plans too. I know they want to not spend too much, which I do get, as they are heavily subsidizing my brother's family (no tuition and a $20K stipend and what is left of the GI bill helps, but you can't cover everything on that for a family) right now and shuffling spare discretionary aside to help me with a down payment, but.... I come from cheapskates. I know this.

Honestly, I'm just fluttering right now. I'm excited, but I tend to freak out over the whole people issue. I know I'll want to strangle them at some point. I always do, if more than 24 hours is involved. I know I'll get to the point of tears at some point with overwhelmed with close to me people. It won't lessen my happiness of their visit though. It's just the way it goes.

Our wings are not tired.

There are a ton of wildflowers out there right now.

I owe my kids a trip out there. I'm thinking not in the summer though. The pictures have been stunning.

Well, it is far enough past my bedtime that I now have to delay to watch TDS.

Good night natterbugs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Too bad TDS is a rerun. Bah.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

He told committee chairman Senator Norm Coleman: "I know that standards have slipped over the last few years in Washington but for a lawyer you are remarkably cavalier with any idea of justice."

I heart Mr. Galloway.

GG: Ah. I saw a glimpse of the Logan I loved again. "You have to tell me why we're committing a felony before we do it. Not that that's going to stop us, but I need all the facts." Adorable. Even if he is veering into Dean territory on a regular basis.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I made a lovely dinner. By going to Zankou's. One by one, I'm going to have all the chicken dishes on their menu.

They are very popular. They have valet parking. They are yummy.

Does everything in West LA have valet parking?
