If I only had a brain...

I'm talking about why I don't think that income = class.

I didn't say that income was the same as class, I said that income was the most important factor in class.

Americans tend to take money as a sign of God's or Natural Selection's blessing on a person. If you're rich, you're more important than anybody except a celebrity. Academics rank significantly below medical doctors everywhere but within the academic community itself.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Meanwhile, I'm hoping to save up enough for a couch before the fall series premieres.

I think I need to be related to ita.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If you're rich, you're more important than anybody except a celebrity.

Are there many poor celebrities?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I said that income was the most important factor in class

You don't think a poor lawyer is higher classed than a rich janitor? When all is said and done?

I think I need to be related to ita.

It's a crapshoot, I warn you.

And there are always celebrity bankruptcies. Or there used to be. I can't think of any recent cases.
