And then I'll have to have people over for snacks and sitting.

Allyson, this reminded me of a childrens' book Rabbit's New Rug. Now the main character is a little nutty at first (and that's not you) but he finally throws a party to celebrate his new rug. It's so cute.

I had an awesome weekend. Not long enough, as I woke up this morning and thought it was sunday.

The kinetic sculpture race was hilarious if very very wet. The dragon and the galloping cow sank. The platypus prevailed. Fifi the poodle was sodden. We did not fear the duck, however.

I finished stage three of the backyard spaceship this weekend. Now I'm getting ready to do the control panels and access panels. So, does anyone happen to know where to find decent sized images (at least 800x600, but bigger is better) that would look in place on a small spaceship display screen?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Tell me more about this backyard rocket, Gud. Are the neighbors getting nervous? Have there been pictures I've been missing?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

This board has warped my brain. When reading my new Gourmet this month, all I could think of when I saw this recipe was how brave they were to include both olives and cilantro in one dish. I mean, it's practically a cilantro-spiked muffaletta spread!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Tell me more about this backyard rocket, Gud.

This is how Jor-El got started, isn't it?

I'll probably take a picture tonight. It's pink and blue (as per my daughter's selections) with metallic support 2x4s.

Gud, I'd check out the NASA image gallery or the Hubble gallery.

Hey, Gud, we bought an Element back in December and love the heck out of it. I'd be glad to talk about pluses and minuses (and why we went for this rather than for, say, a CRV or Matrix)

I like the Element, but it has the same problem that almost any potential minivan replacement has. The highway mileage would not be enough of an improvment to overcome the cost of changing things and the loss of cargo space and seat space. The minivan typically gets 23 - 25 mpg on a trip, but even at 30mpg, we just don't save enough money to cover the cost of getting something else. Plus, the van is under warrenty, and has gobs of space.

Thanks. I'm also looking for sort of a technical display for interal systems and stuff.
