Well, they're really the same thing, aren't they? Women can recharge more quickly than men, and some women can go off like machine-gun fire.

After the orgasm is over, the clitoris re-emerges from under the clitoral hood, and returns to its normal size in less than 10 minutes. Unlike men, women do not have a refractory period, and thus can experience a second orgasm soon after the first; some women can even follow this with a third, or even fourth orgasm; this is known as having multiple orgasms. Research shows that about 13% of women experience multiple orgasms; a larger number may be able to experience this with the proper stimulation (such as a vibrator) and frame of mind. However, some women's clitorises are too sensitive after orgasm, making additional stimulation painful; they are probably not able to experience multiple orgasms.

The traffic stuff is fascinating. I did a school project with the Rand Corp. around 15 years ago, and they were working on similar problems (that's not what I worked on, my project was about chaotic results from models of conflict, I just heard about the traffic problems in passing)
Happy birthday, Vortex!
According to the class calulating thingy, secretaries are at the 45th percentile of prestige and actuaries are 43rd. Weird.
I'm fascinated by the class stuff. Cause of where they rank the status of my job. It's cool. Weird, but cool.
We're starting a unit on norse mythology. Am I crazy or what?

I see that wikipedia is defining refractory period as having to do with male ejaculation, which I guess would mean women wouldn't have one. But there is generally a recovery period, though it may be of short duration, right (which I would have called refractory, by analogy with the neuron)? Otherwise it wouldn't be "soon" but "immediately". How close together do they need to be to be considered "multiple"?
